The Central Regional Elite Group (REG) Camp just completed a great week of training in Cable, WI! Thirty of the top skiers from the Great Lakes and Midwest divisions trained together for seven days, taking advantage of all that Northwest, WI has to offer.
The athletes utilized the rollerski track at Mt. Telemark for several workouts and a 10K time trial. This track is a huge boon to Nordic training in the Central Region! Also, the endless single track trails made for great long runs, and the nearby beach gave us an excellent place for recovery.
The REG athletes had several opportunities to train with skiers from Team Birkie, our regional pro-team. Having the Team Birkie athletes in the time trial definitely upped the level of both competition and fun!
Skiers trained with intention, engaged with learning opportunities, built friendships and had a blast! Can’t wait until next year!
