Western REG concluded last week in Leadville, Colorado and it was a great opportunity for athletes to experience HIGH altitude training. Elysha Dyer and Christine Horning organized this training camp based at the High Mountain Institute and the athletes made the most of Colorado’s bike path network. With agility at the airport, double pole intensity, and a summit of Mt. Elbert, this cohesive group was able to learn together and made the most of this altitude training opportunity.

With athletes from Colorado, Montana, and Utah, the best in the west were able to learn from Pat Cade (Leadville 100 legend) as well as from Novie McCabe & JC Schoonmaker (Western REG alumni) in a zoom panel. Needless to say, it’s not every ski camp that you get play hackey sack above 14,400 ft or rollerski above 10,000 ft!
