The National Nordic Foundation (NNF) and U.S. Ski & Snowboard recently announced a partnership in which the NNF will become the Presenting Partner of the SuperTour series.   As the NNF’s mission is to support athletic excellence in developing Nordic athletes in the United States towards international excellence, the U.S. Ski & Snowboard is providing this opportunity for the National Nordic Foundation to increase its reach within the Nordic community and other snow sports disciplines.

The NNF, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, is the primary funding source for junior and developing senior athletes helping to defray costs to train and compete at the highest levels, both domestically and internationally.  “This is a great opportunity for NNF to better tell our story to the entire Nordic community,” says Yuriy Gusev, NNF Board Chairman.  “Each SuperTour stop can have more than 400 competitors.  Sharing the NNF’s mission and goals will only help to spread awareness and increase support of our most talented developing athletes.”

U.S. Ski & Snowboard Cross Country Sport Development Manager Bryan Fish underscored the importance of the joint effort.  “We are excited that the National Nordic Foundation continues to seek opportunities to support pillar USA Cross Country development projects,” he said.  “NNF’s support has been instrumental in our short term and long term success.”

With their signature D25 fundraising campaign starting in late November and tasked with doubling the number of individual donations to 1,000, this partnership will be instrumental in helping to achieve that goal and others throughout this Olympic year.
