FIS Junior World Ski Championships kicked off in Whistler, British Columbia yesterday with the Juniors competing in an Individual Classic Sprint. Team USA had 3 qualify for heats, highlighted by Samantha Smith’s (Sun Valley) 8th place finish in semi-finals. Nina Schamberger (Summit Nordic Club) and Ava Thurston (Dartmouth College) rounded out the heats for the US. Max Kluck (Sun Valley) and Anders Weiss (Montana State) highlighted the Men’s results, finishing in 32nd and 42nd, respectively.
