The US Men’s Team qualified two skiers to the elimination rounds in the U23 Sprint Free in Lygna, Norway today. Gus Schumacher skied to a 22nd place in the qualification round followed by Noel Keeffe in 29th. John Steel Hagenbuch missed qualifying today skiing to a 39th place.
Both Schumacher and Keeffe ended up in the same Heat 4 with Schumacher skiing into the second lucky loser position until Heat 5. The last heat prved to be the fasted skiing in the quarter finals with Schumacher being knocked out of advancing to the semi finals.
The race was won by Valerio Grond of Switzerland, with Denis Filimonov of Russia in second and Magnus Oeyaas Haabrekke in third.
